a few hours ago i let my mom borrow my car. someone rear ended her in traffic and both cars are totaled. she’s okay thankfully, she only has neck pains. a third party got their vehicle scratched by the person who rear ended her

the police report states that the lady who rear ended her was at fault. both of us have geico. we spoke with a lawyer over the phone that advised us not to speak with our insurance just yet, in case they try to flip some s*** i guess ?

i should be getting a full reimbursement for my vehicle right ??

I know a lot of ppl who got in wrecks and had “neck pains” so got a settlement since they weren’t at fault. Make sure ur mom follows up with the lawyer bc she could get money and u will get paid whatever the insurance company values ur car as

If the other is be at fault they gotta cover you regardless (their insurance)

Hiring a lawyer probably wasn't necessary if you have appropriate coverage. Thats what insurance is for.

Thats not how it works... coverage applies for the person who was not at fault, not who filed the claim first...
