Yeah, the other guy was injured pretty badly. He actually wrote a letter forgiving me. Once he found out I was under the limit he was confused why I was sentenced to jail time. Cause it was kind of a mutually at fault thing.

I got six months but I got out early on the condition I take a drunk driving course and an alcohol abuse course.

That’s cause you were in county jail I assume? Prison is where you’re gonna find the racial gangs n s***, not jail. Also they do rape in prison but mainly as a dominance thing if a man owes them

For the most part no. There was this one obnoxious guy who wanted to fight me but he started s*** with so many people he was quickly knocked out by someone else. Think he was withdrawing from heroin or some s***. My celly refused to shower for a while and that bothered me, he ended up getting rocked by a couple guys and started showering after that though.

As far as the bathroom it’s just a toilet and sink in the room. Me or my celly would just look away while the other used it. So private in that sense.

It’s definitely an adjustment but eventually your body just does what it has to.

My first week I had a very hard time getting myself to go. Especially cause I was super worried about getting raped or some s*** cause tv shows and movies really stoked that fear.

Came close once or twice. Got really heated over a game of spades once. But nah for the most part I just kept any feelings about how people acted or anything to myself . I was passive but not willing to be walked all over either. Just gotta walk a fine line and then you gain a lot of respect for not starting s*** but not being a b****. I also got a pretty big build so I don’t think most people wanted to take a punch from me.

I’d assume the aspect of the passing of time gets skewed when you’re in prison or some sort of confinement

Yes and no.
Each individual day felt long since it was boring and I was missing home and everybody outside.
But on the other hand days were so repetitive and routine that they all blended together and after the first month seemed like I’d blink and it was a week later. Like if I looked at the date it always felt like time passed fast but if I looked at the time it always felt like time passed slow.
