It is well within Sony's power to give us this AND more Sly and Infamous games

Feel like people forget Sucker Punch has to want to do that and Sony has to greenlight it. Which Sucker Punch already said they have no plans for Sly.

And like the other old IPs that aren't coming back, its not happening for either one or both of those reasons

It doesn't HAVE to be Sucker Punch. Sony could open up other subsidiaries to make a lower budget game like Sly.

I agree that they shouldn't force a Sly or any game if there's no passion or idea for one.
But its also more about the state Sony is in where these game series are having 5 year gaps.

There weren't as many complaints years ago about sequels only making slight improvements to the previous game, because those sequels only had a 1-2 year wait. When ppl are waiting 5+ years for a sequel, they're expecting more innovation than just "improvements over the 1st"

Sony could mitigate that a little, by introducing more smaller budget series' where we don't have to wait long spaces between games. It could be Sly or Jak. But it could be something new entirely

Tsushima is one of my favorite games in recent years but nothing in the Yotei previews has really connected with me. Honestly, the most exciting new feature I've seen so far is the cooking. Im waiting for reviews before I decide when/if to buy.
