I really loved this game and the only reason I stopped playing is because I had literally nothing else to do.
holy f*** they added a new uncapped framerate option, ray-tracing ps5 pro mode now gets ~90fps with VRR
7 days after I beat it, of course

the superior game, enjoy
Finished the main story the other day and defeated takezo. Love this game so much and is a worthy successor. Not sure what people didn’t like about this one compared to the last but this is amazing for me
i really gotta get back to this game. havent been on it at al since arc raiders dropped.
Man im just coming back from 7 months abroad no games no movies nothing
Playing this game now 2 of 6 bosses down
Its so boring & formulaic
Why nobody mentioning how the platforming is a budget Uncharted 4
Even the cliff sliding is overdone nobody mentioning this?

If you already think it’s boring and formulaic 2 out of 6 bosses down, you’re REALLY going to think it’s repetitive later
Yeah the climbing and cliff sliding is overdone, but I did find the cliff sliding fun

I feel like every action based game is like this.
The same enemy’s
The same setting etc
It gets boring rather quick
Doom2016 held me going for a long time, but in the end it got boring to.
That is why I like detective games

I don't mind at all its a bit specific
Seafaring, working on a cruise ship to enhance my resume and change my sedentary lifestyle with something that entailed working everyday without a single day of rest & just pretty much exploring some places
I've done it 4 times now - each time 6-7 months each depending on the contract's length and it's something I can semi-recommend only if you know you can do this sort of stuff, be away from home and be mentally ready to work all the time (of course there will be days at port where you can have a consistent 5-6 hours free to explore)
That being said, internet is limited & you're kind of away from regular life - everything seems different when you're onboard you can't really relate to things happening "back home" so you're on your own kind of in that regard
It's a humbling experience and it teaches a lot about other cultures & people. I think I might have interacted with over a hundred nationalities at this point

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying its not fun
The gameplay loop is pretty much as close to 10/10 as it can get apart from the AI bugging itself over one enemy remaining and like 4-5 people poking at him
What I was thinking of is mostly how certain things are not told when it comes to flaws
Same type of "follow these tracks", same thing with "investigate this area" and it's just clicking examine until she say something and then somebody comes up like Oh you're the onryo or something prepare to die
For me, I won't be harsh on this if I had known it's the same thing like Tsushima but nobody really informs you of this, they just kind of accept it as normal & something that games "just do"
And the climbing s*** is overdone some areas literally feel like those underground places in Uncharted 4, it doesn't look original at all
The game even has that "Playstation" staple of boosting the player up or boosting your ally up to go over something
I'm wondering who even decides to make these games like this because why are they all kind of similar in the last 10 years or so
And I haven't even been on this forum in a MINUTE, I missed out on a lot of entertainment in general

Nice nice...I actually was considering the whole cruise ship job and been curious about that. Can't make moves at the current moment due to my situation but I might look into trying to get one of those jobs

Depends what you would go for, a lot of jobs dont get paid alot there but as long as you do something that's a bit up the ranks you get different perks like your own cabin / stateroom so you don't share a bunk bed (cause I started off sharing bunk beds)
Anything officer related, safety stuff, engineering or restaurant related (which I am in) pays well considering you don't pay for food & housing or taxes
Other fields do not pay well, capping around $2000 per month, which is NOT it

Game developers make games like this because they're trying to meet demand. They believe gamers want this experience from their games
Open world Ubisoft checklist "uncover the map" games like AC games, Far Cry 3 were getting hella praise and sales beginning of last decade. Game developers saw that and copied. Open world games like HZD, Spiderman, Ghost games all have these gameplay elements in common because they're an evolution of that type of game and still do well commercially
They get a lot of flack but tbh, Idk what type of objectives an open world game set way back in the past would even have if not for the trailing/investigating and climbing ones. They need to find something to break up the main plot missions and combat. There aren't much options
Could they make these missions more challenging/intricate? Probably. But then they risk alienating some of their players, they need to cater and appeal to the lowest common denominator
i can't be the only one who feel like they f***ed up lethal difficulty in this. in tsushima you and your enemies die in like 1-2 hits in lethal outside of duels but in this i'm hitting niggas like 4-5 times before they die lol. should've just called it very hard instead
