There is Ragnorak haters?
When it first dropped, it was getting a lot of criticism for its story and portrayal of its new characters. How they “MCUfied” God of War lol
Been playing GoW since it’s free now… pretty solid game especially for when you’re hitting unc status and need something light and casual with a compelling narrative.
It absolutely did not deserve GOTY in 2018 tho. If they announced a new one set in Egypt, I’d be quite intrigued. Never cared for Norse mythology at all which is part of the reason I steered clear of this.

Deserved it over RDR2 imo. RDR2's gameplay and some of the design choices are huge flaws, GoW was closer to a "perfect game" than it was. Only criticism I had of GoW was lack of enemy variety

MHW deserved it over both

Was going to say, I can't speak on MHW or Celeste Odyssey too but I already know Ubisoft not topping GoW/RDR2

I just don't get how they call Sony games movie games and Red Dead Redemption 2 never catches that slander. Half the game is you waiting for animations to finish
I wanted to like this game so bad and I hated it so much
That one dwarf character turned into such a whiny b****
Kratos ending wasn’t that satisfying, and lots of loose ends.

Another thing is it felt like there was no threat, I thought Odin was gonna have a sinister plan in place or some s***

Odin was cool but yeah he ended up being a non issue plus I really wanted to know what was beyond that void and we didn’t even get to find out
I get that was the point but s*** pissed me off
Why the story bosses so damn weak lmao
Random normal enemies you run into in the wild are stronger than the gods in this lmao
Alright after playing both back to back, my unbiased opinion as that Ragnarok is better in every way. Solid 8/10 game I enjoyed it. Would consider buying a sequel on release
Ragnarok story long as s***t
playing thru it rn and it’s such a gem and shines so bright in many aspects
but the story is missing for me so far
I think the best setting so far was the giants house, s*** felt mad coool
oh and the first Thor fight was goated

Don't forget to play the DLC Valhalla once you beat it, especially if you're a fan of the old trilogy
