My first experience with the series was 2018 and then Ragnarok

Love those games but I’m just now trying out the Greek series for the first time and it’s a whole different approach but it’s just so much fun in a completely different way

I will say Pandora’s Temple might be the best segment of any of these games I’ve played so far

Just copped on my PS8 for $120 a game

Gotta go with the Greek ones overall

God of war 2 is the best game of the franchise

The new Nordic ones are crazy tho in a much different way

But young kratos was insanely powerful

never played either yet but the old ones look cooler tbh

Ancient Greece/Rome are the best historical settings

Yooo you gotta play the original trilogy if you love character action games. God of War 2 & 3 are up there with Bayo, DMC, Ninja Gaiden etc.

Devil may cry 1 and god of war 2 are to me the hall of famer action fantasy games

Gow2 has the amazing story and journey with insane spectacle in the boss battles, especially the sisters with the mirrors not to mention the way Zeus pulls up at the start.

Devil may cry had the beautiful creepy castle backgrounds, ambient music and creepy background noises, and the best enemies whether its design, ai or varied movesets, not to mention it revolutionized how action games can be played

It really felt like you were inside an action game only with a super hero blade like character

But that horror vibe really sold how much of a challenge even he was in for along with the aggressive enemies that you have to actually strategize against

New god of war is a little heavy on the rpg/armor ratings aspects and the newer devil may cry’s abandoned the horror vibes and powerful enemy moves and ai to kind of just encourage the games to be played like a combo simulator
