The idea of heroes killing depends on their characters and the execution of it

Superman, Batman or daredevil killing is extremely counter to their character. So if you're going to make them do it, it has to be a Interesting execution of it. Synder didn't do that with superman/batman

But hawkgirl killing the genoical leader or supergirl killing the child s***trafficker shouldn't really matter that much because they never had a strict code

The seeds have at least been planted for superman to do more then shake his head like a disappointed dad when they killed the giant monster. Killing and torture should at least have some level of ramifications to their psyche. Even 24 which was normalization of torture killing and hero character going too far had consequence. Stabler from SVU too. To not do so is irresponsible. I cant think of any show or movie that had things of that level that just shrugged past it. GTA V made it a joke but its a parody story.

but on topic I feel its a really bad faith read that Hal would kill Noah . Unless you believe in your soul he believes all manhunters are inherently evil. Even one that she raised who loves her. To each their own though. Noah is still alive at the conclusion so if people feel that John Stewart is following the full will of what Hal would want surely he will kill him for the safety of humanity.
