but on topic I feel its a really bad faith read that Hal would kill Noah . Unless you believe in your soul he believes all manhunters are inherently evil. Even one that she raised who loves her. To each their own though. Noah is still alive at the conclusion so if people feel that John Stewart is following the full will of what Hal would want surely he will kill him for the safety of humanity.
Manhunters being the terror alien that has the power to blow up was a bit too much for me as well. John Killed Zoe why does he trust Noah ? Yes he offered to be mercy killed . But I am lost on the logic where you think Hal would clearly kill the child of someone he loves.
Idk about killing he doesnt have the means to but he definitely wanted to turn noah in and thats probably what would of happened.
Tbf Halogram intentionally wasn't there when John made the decision even after John was asking for his input to decide on what to do. Which left it up to John to decide on his own
LMFAO
Wow 4 tweets!!

wont see the show for 3-4 years if Paramount allows it to occur. Will see him in Man of Tomorrow but there are so many characters going on and we just got 8 hours so I am not going in expecting a full character arc. For what we got some parts landed others didnt. How Manhunters work into the future and Martian Manhunter who knows
you know... as someone who knows jack s*** about green lantern. never watched a show, read a comic or anything, this show did NOT do a great job of explaining much. there's still so much about the guardians, the different colors, s*** sinestro, these other planets, manhunters... all of this stuff still doesn't really make sense or feel clear?
and I don't know if it's just me or if i did a bad job of watching and paying attention but when I listen to podcasts or reviewers they seem to just have some of the lore knowledge going into the show and just know stuff that I don't...
like i still dont really understand how being a lantern works...
okay so Guy is the green lantern for earth. there can only be one per sector and Guy is the one. and to be a lantern, you have to be... chosen. but John gave it up until now and he gets Hal's ring and Sinestro creates a lantern and so now we can have two green lanterns for Earth?
so that's allowed? As long as you have the ring, you can do stuff with it? I mean essentially that's what Noah was planning right? To get a ring and lantern and cause havoc or something? I guess I'm a bit lost on how things work around here.

He told Guy at the end that earth is his and he can have space. And he’s like a separate contractor like he said. Not really the same way Guy is a lantern.
No way people are actually clutching their pearls over John torturing Sinestro
Not clutching pearls. Yes character is villain and bad. No I dont want a character that I like torturing him with suicide water while pretending that they are more than a cop and a just person. I have seen 24.

lol and what gives John the right the say that 🤣

If he is a separate contractor and Guy was willing to fight Superman and has saved more people / done more to protect earth than John has why would he respect or listen to him ? John just got his ring. Doesnt have the grasp on his powers that Guy does have.
Is that how John is in the comics? Is he like an independent contractor? Or is the show doing something different

It’s f***ing wild people are pretending Sinestro is some great guy lmao

He gets what it means to be a Lantern and cares? Did you not watch the show?

the show is doing something different with many of these choices for John Stewart......
Johns parents werent abusive in the comic

the writers have been flippant to pushback they have gotten in many ways throughout the show
they also didnt like when someone called John a A24 black

Oh!

Guy has an ego issue he’d be willing to fight Superman. He isn’t the strongest lantern lmao. Also guardians probably know John is the better choice despite not wanting to work directly with them. Did you not remember what he told Guy to tell the guardians at the end?
adding a bunch of stereotypes on to the black character from black writers was the most disheartening thing of the show. Especially liberal black writers who have an abusive mom confronting aliens about their thoughts on race. I didnt care about the special fx budget being giant. I can allow many other things but that s*** was disappointing how much control of the show writers who have no hugely successful show had over the writing
irrational emotional woman character who literally shoots him clear in the head over a serious argument about her child with no threats isnt great writing
First of all, she’s a cop so her being trigger happy is totally believable.
Second of all, she thinks she’s protecting her son by shielding him from the world. She didn’t even know that Noah already knew what he was.
