in 2006 hal discovered the manhunters were involved in the decimation of sector 666\. this shook his will and allowed parallax to possess him.

in 2016 his paranoia is even further triggered with the arrival of john stewart. sinestro has already been nudging him towards the edge and this plus the arrival of the manhunters is what pushes him over

in 2026 hal has destroyed the corps (why john doesn’t have the ring/guy gardener is taking the place of kyle rayner here) and his corpse is probably planted by jordan himself in a green lantern rebirth situation

can’t wait to come back to this and laugh about how wrong i was but this my fan dream of the show
