broad just doin s*** now
Hope, maybe?
Maybe she’s gonna do a sneaky play, get IMAX to agree to it and then take that to Netflix and say see we already have IMAX on board, you don’t wanna upset them do you?

Except Netflix does want to upset IMAX.
Netflix is legitimately anti-theater in any way they can be. If IMAX went out of business, Netflix execs would be celebrating full stop
Are they actually starting with the first book this time?
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is the actual first book.
But I am hoping for a Magician's Nephew adaptation.

You know what I meant tho knew someone was gonna come in here with that response lmao

Yeah I thought it was a missed opportunity that the movies didn’t start with it. It’s a great story, lays a powerful foundation for the future, and the Aslan creating Narnia moment has the potential to be a visual masterpiece if done well.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe should absolutely be the intro point of Narnia to people.
I'd love Gerwig to tackle the Magician's Nephew though as to not hinder the (underrated) effectiveness of the first movie.

I know what you mean, but I sincerely believe that TLTW&TW should be the first Narnia story people experience.
The Magician's Nephew has references and the like in it that only actually pay-off if you know the story from TLTW&TW.
I wouldn’t be interested if she wasn’t directing so that’s a good by them to grab her. She might turn this into something decent
I wonder when we’ll get some casting news on this
https://twitter.com/discussingfilm/status/1866305537719062881"Rock n Roll"?
unironically making it a musical would make this story 10x more interesting
I'm not against the idea, but Narnia's all about magical/religious awe, not Rock 'n' Roll
Wow, Greta won
https://twitter.com/onetakenews/status/1880132614092386592somehow she got netflix to compromise on this DESPITE still taking this film out of theaters BEFORE Christmas lmao. okay man
