This better than LAdybird?
I like it more than Lady Bird. I like Lady Bird a lot too.
yo how old are they supposed to be cause it just flashbackwd to 7 years earlier and they look exactly the same
s*** was aight prolly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know if I’m being honest lol

Yeah lol legit all they did was give Florence Pugh rosy cheeks and weird hairstyles to try differentiate between the younger and older version.
yeah the flashback s*** was not convincing at all, took me out and confused the hell out of me.

when the older sis husband was like my b you had to marry some dude who can’t even afford to buy you nice things
I enjoyed the movie and maybe a rewatch where the f***ing movie wasn't zoomed in as all hell and these bratty f***ers talking all the time would let me just focus on the movie.
odd, my showing today also was slightly zoomed in. And the screen blinders were slightly covering the edges. Annoying, but I didn't try to get them to fix things

Beth telling Jo not to stop writing after she passes away tbh

That was poignant.
The arc with Beth and Mr. Laurence.
The dread Jo felt about being lonely. The scene with her turning down Laurie was tough but thematically made sense with her character. Glad bae was able to reinvent herself!
Amy saying she was sick of being second to Jo with Laurie was also good.
Overall each character had their moments tbh. Great book/film.
Mmmmmh yeah I thought it was alright, first act took a while but I get it it had to in order to install the drama and the characters, which you know good movies does
And it paid off, by the second act I was caring
Gets a bit corny, girlyish, but fitting i guess
Idk I’d say it was mid, good directing tho
Just rewatched. Top 2 movie of the year and a masterpiece. Greta deserves nom for sure. Teary eyed the entire movie. Ppl calling it mid above me and “girlyish” are literal f***in dorks.

Bruh...
Sometimes just the slow mo coupled with the score got to me. The first twenty minutes whether it’s jo and Frédérique dancing or timothee chalamets first appearance
Then when Ruth is playing the piano and mr Laurence comes down and listens from outside the room
Then when Ruth and jo are on the beach alone when she’s sick
The very end shot
Could list a hundred more
