When someone Criticises China, most of the time its some BS propagandised version of China that doesn't exist, and when China and USA do something similar, the "criticism" China receives is blown out of proportion compared to the USA. We push back cause in the western world China is gonna be used to delegitimise leftist movements that are building here, whether those leftist movements agree with Chinas action or not.

I literally mention an event that Communist often critique and thats Dengs reform, if you want more examples I've often seen communist criticise China for example, the 996 working hour system, the private aspect of Chinas healthcare, or their foreign policy dealing with anti leftist regimes like Duertes. Western propaganda does exist, But I don’t think that you can realistically write off every criticism as being western propaganda. If I assume every article about North Korea from a capitalist nation is propaganda, and every video and documentary made inside North Korea is propaganda, and everybody who has escaped North Korea and talked about it also propaganda, then I’m left just having to take North Korea’s word for it.

The sanctions do put North Korea at a huge disadvantage, however, this doesn’t mean North Korea has no money. The government has money, Kim Jong Un is worth billions and lives lavishly, but they spend all of their money on further isolating their country instead of helping their citizens. To quote you from the other day, tell me who is responsible for the failings of their government besides their own government?

They have the right to choose how to run their country, other countries have the right to choose how to respond. North Korea has “chosen” (not through any democratic process) to allow a billionaire family run the country into the ground for 50 years, to give no concessions, to never step in line, to hold hostile posture, and to drive themselves further and further into isolation. Do they have the right to do this? Yes. How has it worked out for them for the last 50 years?

Has their country benefitted because of this? Are their people benefitting because of this? Usually if your strategy doesn’t work you change strategies. The North Korean government doesn’t care how many of their people die, they don’t care how poorly they have made their people, they care about keeping the Kim’s rich. It’s a dictatorship where one family has all the power and wealth. Hard thing to defend
