V’s story ain’t that deep or thought provoking but it’s still a great story

you still get sucked in and it’s enjoyable from start to finish

and the dialogue is still above every other game in the series besides IV i guess LMAO

GTA V dialogue was just a bunch of screaming and talking about the same arguments over and over again. GTA SA on the other hand had better dialogue, as well as GTA IV.

GTA V's story is a bit convoluted. For example, until this day, many people think Michael was in witness protection, which he never ever was. The story doesn't make it clear enough that Michael is lying about this.

Franklin is basically "cool black guy who wants to be rich"
Trevor is "crazy methhead white guy"

Michael is the one with the most depth. They couldn't really make the other two characters grow enough in the story. Trevor suddenly changes his mind about Michael and co-operates with him in the last mission (if you choose Path C). Franklin doesn't change either, only gets richer.

In GTA SA you had a sense that CJ's life was changing drastically, his power and his friend circle and his skills were growing.

In GTA IV you are driven by Niko's revenge, there is also a clear progression in the story.

GTA V's story is missing that sense of progression for me.

Hot take: SA story isn't good it's pretty nonsensical tbh and CJ honestly does whatever anyone tells him like a b****. Still fw the game

i think san andreas is probably the best but 4 has a really great story and characters and is my favorite

5 was forgettable in comparison, i dont play online

5 was still really good, easy 9/10 game. but not as good as 4 or SA
