Yea ik they were huge influence on them but that doesnt mean they are responsible for anyone Keef or Thug in turn influenced.
Its like if a rapper says Drake was a huge influence on them, im not gonna say Kanye in turn influenced them also. Indirectly he may have but i dont think that counts

this a favorites contest to y'all
Niggas itt acting like Gucci Mane's contributions and influence doesn't count because it isn't "real hip-hop"...like is this the mid 2000s again bro? I'm confused
Gucci has been influential in hip-hop the same way Rakim, Nas, Wu Tang, etc have been. All of these dudes brought forth a new style and way of making music that has left a lasting impression on the genre to this day. Why do y'all try so hard to deny that as if we haven't been living through it, personally witnessing it from 2005 to present day.
It's okay to give props to Gucci Mane while also being fans of Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, Jay Z, etc...been doing it most of my life. I promise you nothing bad is going to happen. You aren't going to be looked at as weird. Saying Gucci is an influential figure in hip-hop has been an accepted and proven statement for decades
no one arguing against his influence but saying he's the most influential rapper of all time is cap asl
Who you think birthed Keef and thug lmao
Wayne influenced both a lot too, he'd be the only other one I could see in the convo
