Thank god its critically acclaimed cause these sales are gonna be a disaster

It's very different from her older albums. I personally don't like this production for a pop album. Only a few songs do sound like old Halsey.

    how is this

a third of it sounds like NIN and is incredible. (you asked for this)

another third sounds like normal Halsey and it's lame. (honey)

and the last third is in between and it's pretty okay. (i'm not a woman, i'm a god)

Girl is a Gun is the first track I liked, first four were boring as s***

Havent had a chance to listen yet but I’m glad to hear it’s a bit of a departure for her

Not crazy about standard Halsey music but I appreciate her taking a chance on this one

It's really not the crazy departure people keep saying it is.

lmao yeah. all these songs are pop songs that end right as they get actually atmospheric. it's super evident that Reznor and Ross came in late on the project, like they said.

It's like the opposite of Folklore.

Folklore: Swift goes to Dessner/Vernon and is like "got anything for me?" She writes vocals completely serving the sound they provided for her. Results in a completely new direction for Swift.

This album: Halsey writes a bunch of stuff and goes to Reznor/Ross and is like "help me make it sound good."

The album is very similar to other Halsey albums, but the production is kinda fooling people into feeling it's a new direction just based off the fact it's objectively good lol

Taylor did way better at finding a new direction.
