idk im not a business man, but if they believe they will gain 500+ million over a couple years vs 500 million once (from the box office) from disney + subs from this movie then i guess go for itMore to gain from the service that they directly own. From less financial hoops to get to net profit, the data they can gather, the userbase growth that reflect on their report to reel in more investors, just more and more opportunities. Sales is just one facet in the grand scheme of things
