    Talent and charm/networking>>>>hard work

The world runs on nepotism and hooking up your boys. Only sports and I guess a lot of 9 to 5s up to the middle management level are meritocratic

With enough hard work, you can grow your talent

that's a different discussion altogether though

    Is it though?

I'm saying Hard Work & Talent are both useless without connections. Debating Hard Work vs Talent is like different types of wood - both need a match to start a fire.

Age-old debate but which one you got if you had to pick one. Some examples:

    Talent:
Usain Bolt was an athletic freak of nature. Dude ate 100 chicken nuggets a day while at the Beijing Olympics where he set multiple world records

    Hard Work:
Tom Brady was picked 199th in the draft. His draft report said he didn’t have a strong arm. But his work ethic and preparation turned him into the GOAT.

    Talent:
Mozart is often cited as a prodigy in music. His innate talent for composition and performance from a very young age is legendary.

    Hard Work:
Vincent van Gogh is renowned for his painting but sold only a few paintings in his lifetime. His success is attributed to his intense dedication and the vast amount of work he produced.

    Talent:
Albert Einstein’s ability to conceptualize complex physical phenomena changed the course of physics. His talent for abstract thinking was unparalleled.

    Hard Work:
Thomas Edison famously said he found 10,000 ways that did not work before creating the lightbulb. His persistence was insane.

Obviously, these guys all had some combination of both. But which one do you think is most important to succeed in life?

You know what beats both? DUMB LUCK.
