harry potter cast has somehow ended up being the most iconic cast of all time

even mega series like star wars you can totally see (and have seen) other people play their iconic characters but there's something about this series that makes the idea of a new cast feel so crazy

For a billion people, Daniel Radcliffe is Harry Potter, Rupert Grint is Ron, Emma Watson is Hermoine. The face of the actor and their character are eternally linked even for people who haven’t read or watched HP. Seeing someone else be called Harry for 7+ seasons will be amazing and weird at first.

fr man i was in the bookstore last year remember seeing NEW cardboard cut outs and merch of a 12 year old Daniel Radcliffe Harry Potter.

I actually love Radcliffe in comedies, he’s actually super funny and has great timing

However, I don’t think he was cast well as Harry (he doesn’t have the look, but he would have been an amazing Fred/George). I think they can cast an even better Harry.

But the real way I’ll judge their casting is Dumbledore. Gambon was woat

If we are being honest none of the trio actors in the film were great actors. Lots of cringe acting moments in the films from them. So while it might be weird at first seeing new actors I could get used to it.

It would be more difficult casting the adults like how do you replace Alan Rickman Snape? It's such a defining performance.

Snape is definitely the weirdest one to imagine with a new actor. Rickman was perfect , RIP
