like i already explained, this that dumb ppl s*** - why didn’t accusations about the catholic church reach the light of day until recently???

why were afrika bambataas victims silent up until the culture became accepting of male rape/molesting instances ????

why did women FOR COUNTLESS DECADES in modern day not have the security, support or ability to combat their assailants ???

like y’all really being purposefully dense and just spreading the exact environment in which these horrific acts were able to thrive for yearsssss

You want to know how to 100% assure that nothing ever gets done about your abuse? All you have to do is one thing. Stay silent.

It starts with you. Now when it comes to niggas like Afrikaa Bambataa, the Catholic Church and Weinstein, obviously there's a difference because there are people with power and influence who can either cover it up themselves or have others who will turn a blind eye for them.

But for the average person, what's stopping you? Don't make excuses. Theres 7 days of in a week and "someday" is not one of them.

I'm not spreading ANY environment, i'm literally saying that you don't need to wait til the water is HOT to jump in the POOL... but the MeToo movement literally makes you the bad guy if you even have an ounce of doubt. And it also makes it a safe haven for people to take advantage of it and claim they were victims when they weren't. F*** that.

s*** is kinda f***ed all around tbh. especially when it comes to evidence and belief in the justice system.

They make the most valid point tho I hate to say it.

You can't just silence yourself even if it's the logical thing to do
    which sounds illogically logical but

idk bro I stopped trying to understand the world's f***ery

Lol so if I think people should find their own personal courage to stand up w/o needing the MeToo safety net, guess Im a mini-Harvey Weinstein

I got family that came out and named their abusers (before Metoo was a thing)

I also got family that are still silent about it to this day.

Guess which ones abuser still roaming around with 0 consequences.

lol nah this nigga going to jail. criminal case is remaining in nyc. judge raised his bail to $5 million and denied all his motions except one for his lawyers to review the grand jury proceedings.

charges against him consolidated to a single criminal case with two witnesses. dude’s optics are also likely worse than cosby’s in the eyes of the jury. No one will play cognitive dissonance over a rich fat white movie producer. Unless the prosecution has a s*** case and the judge for some reason stops playing hardball, the guy is f***ed.

if you are really baffled why a horrific act solely poised to make victims feel powerless, alone and at the will of their abusers is effective in silencing them - both historically and in present day - you’re a f***ing idiot and doing a disservice to any of your family that has yet to speak up regarding their abuse

  • Dec 11, 2019

this literally like that fake harriet tubman quote but instead about rape - y’all f***ing idiots and about as out of touch as can be

Family member I have that didn't speak out about it is doing it for a reason other than feeling "powerless, alone or at the will of their victim". You should stop speaking as if all victims and all cases are the same. Not doing a disservice to anyone, but I can already see you're coming into the conversation 38 hot.

you literally did the same in your last post in reference to victims, but it’s okay bro, just be as vague as possible with your anecdotes without providing any sort of arguments or examples applicable to what you are stating - such as these false accusers and how exactly waiting until any cultural shift in safety is inherently counter intuitive - you’re right! i sure am convinced !

What you call being "vague" is literally me not putting my family members business out there. You really want me to describe in detail the FOUL s*** that happened to them just for the sake of argument, when you and i both know that you are already set in your ways? I'm not gonna do them like that.

Literally made my point clear in my first reply to you, but I guess it seems like you ignored it. I honestly don't care about convincing you of anything.

yeah bc you haven’t busted them out enough by using them as baseless examples over the internet - acting as if you understand their mental state following such trauma and how they should have proceeded accordingly, just bc you are related to them.

if you can’t see how attempting to discount or invalidate someone’s account or the validity of their case simply on the basis of not speaking up exactly when it happened - once again, you are part of the problem. you are basically “mansplaining” this situation but to all victims of molestation or rape, despite the fact you’ve assumably been thru neither and just use second hand accounts to pad your arguments

there’s nothing wrong at all in waiting until you gain the confidence and security to combat your accuser before speaking up. if you are implying that this culture is breeding fake accusations, then you have to admit that the present culture gives FAR more validity to victim and accusers claims presently then it did in the past. and you STILL gonna hold the dumb ass opinion they should’ve objectively spoke up at the time, and that they are disservicing themselves by not doing so ????

like i’ve been saying, you’re f***ing dumb and can’t even keep your weak ass arguments straight. as out of touch as can be, and the fact you got the audacity to speak on this s*** simply because you are parading to understand the mindset of the raped by happenstance - astounding.

How am I an a****** for asking a simple question? I’m sorry to hear you felt that way. I asked because not every case is like this. I know someone who was younger than that and exposed their abuser, but my entire point is literally that it’s better to promote actually DOING something about it, not promoting a trendy little hashtag that says “hey it’s ok to speak up long after the fact, making it even less likely that justice is served”

At 14 I didn't know how to respond to what he was doing. At 14 I didn't really see anything different between me and 22 except that he had his own house and a job.

If I had the amount of anti s***offender information we do now I'd have said something at the time. I was in 8th grade. I had no way of knowing what to do at the time.

When I finally spoke about it at 17 it got ignored because he was in the military. When I finally outed him again at 21 a bunch of other children he abused came forward too. I did it during the metoo movement so it got attention and it turns out I wasn't his first.

I wasn't an adult. I was a child. For all it's flaws that's why I'm glad metoo happened.

Imagine questioning why a child didn’t immediately come forward about being abused... uhhh cause they’re a child???
