I moved city a while ago and since I've been here i've made no friends I literally never go out and socialise. First time in my life where I've never been able to hit people up

Work colleagues don't count because I never fw them outside of work, they already settled here.

Anyone got any advice on how to go out and meet new people? I'm just stuck on discord with my friends from home and I see my GF on the weekends (usually)

I moved to a new city with no friends 3 years ago. I was in the exact same situation you were in. However, I joined activities around the city & made friends that way. Have you considered volunteering or playing any intramural sports? Those are great ways to meet new people. Or how about going to the gym?

The first few weeks moving to LA I felt really alone. It's crazy how you can live in one of the biggest cities in the world and still feel extremely lonely.

how was it settling in la?

Embrace the solitude and get right with yourself

First year was difficult af because I believed in the good in people. Once I got that idea out of my head and realized it's everyone for themselves I was doing well. But I left LA after 2 years. It's a great place to visit. Not to live in tbh.

Sounds like you’re not embracing where you live because your heart is tied to where you came from.

    Thats deep

I feel mad awkward joining something though idk

Like i've never had problems making friends during school/college/uni and even at my other jobs before I graduated but this time its tough and lonely asf.

Spend most of my time browsing forums and playing Cod

I just moved out on my own 7 months ago.

I use meetup.com to meet people. I've made alot of good friends through it
