Nah is this it is one best indie records of 00s but their following albums became progressively worse with main singer literally just was emailing the vocals in. They since released pretty good record this year

Also they spawned a bunch of clones sorta how nirvana spawned bunch clones of their sound

In 2007, Wayne was dominating with no album out. His features were everywhere. Da Drought 3 was everywhere. And the anticipation for C3, especially after the leaks, was intense.

I used to lurk SOHH(defunct rap forum) as a little kid and Wayne dominated half the forum discussion.

Closest I can think of is Drake in 2015.
    Anyone else?

    Correct answer is Drake 2014

    Draft Day
    Days In The East
    Believe Me ft Wayne
    2 On/Thotful
    0 to 100
    Recognize with Party
    Tuesday Remix with Makonnen
Only and Truffle Butter with Nicki and Wayne
    Trophies
    We Made It ft Soulja
    6 God

Not really tbh I love the strokes but nothing is better then is this it and they spawned so many trash indie bands which basically killed rock lmao

I could say exact same about arcade fire also

I’m biased as hell but I think the first three albums are all top tier

Ya'll think Kendrick in 2013 when he dropped the Control verse is comparable?

  • Mario Judah getting hype with no album, but not Weezy level

  • Thug this year

    Nicki

If this just means who dominated a year with no studio album (cause Wayne had tapes that year) it’s a lot of niggas u could put here

    02 50 for sure

03 Em and 2014 Drake are up there too but 02 50 was insane. 07 wayne was god in human form, but 02 50 gotta be 2nd. Nigga's mixtape run + the wanksta track droppin that year
