i got it done this year early march. the actual procedure takes like 20 mins, first few days you can't see s*** but your vision slowly comes back, gotta take 2 weeks off from exercise and use a lot of different eye drops.

best thing i've done i was practically blind and now i got 20/20 vision

I was seeing 20/15 the next day after my surgery. Lol

But fr its 100% worth it just make sure u dont go somewhere cheap cos its ur eyes its the last thing u want handled by someone who isnt great at what they do. The horror stories are scary but they make up a very small minority

Yeah had it done like...6 years ago?

It was a piece of cake. Took like 10min one morning. I stayed up til like 4am the previous night so that I would be exhausted after the procedure, they said you'll wanna keep your eyes closed for the first handful of hours after. So I slept for like 6 hours, and woke up to 20/10 vision. That's right, better than 20/20.

Get it done before society collapses and you lose your glasses and get killed by someone who snuck up on your blind ass in the wasteland.

one of the best decisions i've made in my life. surgery was a breeze. I had a little more discomfort in recovery than most people because of some issues I had with my eyes prior to surgery, but even that wasn't really too bad.

    would recommend doing it 100/100

Yea, had it done February 2019. Paid about 3k. Did a payment plan and paid it off last month.

The procedure is really fast, mildly uncomfortable but nothing too bad. In the first stage they put these suction cups on your eyes and put enough pressure on them that your vision blacks out, then they lazer your eye which just feels like a little pressure, but you can smell your eyes burn which is kinda weird, lastly they peel a little layer of your eye open, which is really fast but does feel weird.

It starts burning like crazy shortly after you get outta there. Once the numbing drops wear off your eyes will burn badly. They usually give you some ambien or some s*** tho, so you just pop some pills and have somebody take you home ASAP and go to sleep. When you wake up after a few hours the pain is gone, your vision will be very limited for a day or so tho. You’ll need to wear sunglasses to protect your eyes as well.

From there you just gotta use a ton of different types of eye-drops over the next month for healing. Once your eyes have healed your vision should be perfect. I have no regrets, not needing glasses anymore is great.

You can’t just get any LASIK tho op. Make sure you get the one meant for your eye shape. My friend got the wrong really LASIK meant for ppl with way bigger eyes than him and now he’s paralyzed from the neck down. Dude just woke up one day and couldn’t move and it was because of the LASIK.

    Sad s*** man.

If the horror stories about laser surgery puts you off

My mom has been wearing contact lenses for the last 20/30 years and never had any problems until a couple years ago where she got an infection and s*** was p close to doing perm damage to her vision. Now the eye is too badly scarred it's not recommended she wear contacts except on rare occasions and she couldn't get laser eye treatment even if she wanted

Obviously if you just wear glasses that doesn't appply but it made her regret not splashing out on laser surgery as an investment because she hates glasses

And obviously I'm not saying contact lenses are bad just that if you're putting something in your eyes every day that has its own small risk too

Longest part of the surgery is the wait.
