• make sure the door is covered properly and well, worst thing is having 50 people jammed up in the entry arguing to get in - have someone assigned to this and spend their time there

• test the sound and speakers BEFORE the event and if possible have a backup in case some s*** f***s up (blown speaker, someone spills a drink on the DJ equipment)

• following up on that, make sure the DJs have somewhere comfortable to do their s*** that isn't crowded af bc ppl spill s*** like it's their job

• have some vibes, either lighting or other s*** to fill the space depending on how big it is - no one tryna party in an empty box

also try and use a venue / area that you've seen host similar events because getting shut down 30 min into an event is ass

Content should come naturally. Right now worry about making sure it’s a safe environment both in terms of exit points, spacing, fire hazards, smoke hazards, police intrusion, etc and in terms of personal safety, like narcan, bathrooms, water, etc
