same dude
aint it extremely hard to get into that place?
Yea berghains always packed is what i hear smh
just saw Adam 2 Saturdays ago at an event he was dj'ing.
Asking him for tips came to mind but didn't want to be that guy
I should've though considering he's been doing it for over a decade in LA
I knew David (Romo), not Adam. This was a few years ago though, I haven't talked to him in a long time. I know he used to say one of the real ways they became successful (even though this was a bit before they were "huge" per-se) was creating an atmosphere of exclusivity or alternative-ness even though in reality it was always a pretty accessible gig
if so, any tips?
you just found a random warehouse to party in? or are u actually renting one

Okay mom
Honestly water availability is super important.
@op def buy a couple of those big ass Gatorade water coolers and fill them up with water before hand.

yup the sellouts we've had are all based on this - have some people there that ppl would want to run into, even if they won't necessarily get a chance to talk to them
DJs, artists, designers and all that are always good bets to get the ball rolling

yeah i know for a fact in the early HAM days that they kinda exploited (whether inadvertently or not idk) the fact that there was a high demand to see upcoming artists, and this was basically right before the peak of the soundcloud era (where No Jumper literally took the exact same formula). there was a drought of "DIY" stuff (this was pre-No Jumper/etc) and mixing the two especially when the only alternatives was basically clubs or festivals was a smart idea. basically feeling like A. you're apart of some movement that's growing which you're contributing to and B. there's a level of exclusivity to what you're doing are basically some massive traits of how these things succeed.
