a lot of Wiley's sounds have been absorbed by Drill tho now and look at how those producers are blowing up internationally.
Also, James Blake used some classic grime wiley sounds on the new Flatbush Zombies song.
Diplo has used Wiley's sounds too.
The influence is all over Kanye's post 2011 work.
Grime isn't for the US, it's for us. But the influence is actually there. I don't think you understand how groundbreaking the whole scene since the early 2000s has been.

a lot of the people like Skepta and Wiley i almost don't see as rappers. Especially Wiley he has some great bars but he comes out rave and soundsystem culture, he's a MC in the most obvious way
But you can't tell me Ms Dynamite doesn't sound amazing to anyone
Or that Kano, JME, Dizzee, Ghetts don't have incredible lyrics, whether you f*** with their accents or not. There's a reason Jay called Kano one of the greatest ever before he was even that popular in the uk.
At the end of the day tho it's not really for Americans. personally i enjoy rappers from all countries
