I mean if you read into it you read into it. Carti always had an energy and voice unlike many others in the scene and because he was so mysterious and sought after as someone who made great music and was fashion/look inclined people obsessed over him like Frank because he was elusive and trend maker. The music speaks for itself, outside WLR and a few early gems there isn’t a whole lotta reflection or real storytelling, just an artist with a great ear for beats, distinct sound, and talking some hard/fly s***. When Carti says his lyrics I believe it too, I think that adds to it. People like him cause he’s trendy and has a distinct aesthetic between eras and his verses are viral (meme worthy or easily spreadable on social media) but a lot of us just love the music. He’s distinct, in an era of melodic rappers that are just biting a wave that is dying (where many sound the same or you can’t tell them apart) and the era where the hard rappers have a default of like 3-4 lanes they fall into, he is an outlier, that’s why people laud him so much
