I feel Iike with the late 2000s/early 2010s it was relatively simple

The 80s and early 90s were the hot stuff then it naturally progressed into the mid 90s but then it quickly felt like we transitioned into the late 90s/early 2000s then a few months later we’re in the mid 2000s now I’ve seen a bunch of people on TikTok get nostalgic over No Idea and Roxanne saying life was simple when those songs were hits

It really feels like we’ve jumped the gun with letting nostalgia naturally flow through the eras now the younger generation is trying to force it early probably cause of youtubers and it’s probably helping them be more depressed

Look at how people actually cling to Summer 16 some of it is just jokes but it’s lowkey pretty sad

Its because young people feel like the 1 cool thing older people have is nostalgia and they desperately want to experience it so they point to 10 year old songs

Its cool tho because when i hear certain songs i get nostalgic about 1 month ago so its whatever

That’s exactly how I feel about the late 90s/early 2000s

Seems like everybody just missed when they were a kid

The early years of a new decade are always spent defining the previous decade.

But the 2016 nostalgia on Twitter gotta be a group think thing or something. Bro it’s hard to believe that’s the only summer people had fun.
