I thought you’d f*** with it, agree with everything you said, it’s a special album and as far as Alc goes, I didn’t rate him in the late 90’s/early 00’s but he’s one of my favourites these days, I feel like he can make a great project with just about anyone!
Nah not yet, but I had it on at night in the car, felt like I was in a 70’s blaxploitation flick i downloaded a couple more jazz albums I hadn’t heard just off the back of that album and it got me in the mood for some Issac Hayes too! Forgot how good hot buttered soul is
I know this sounds crazy, considering alc's history, but I haven't heard chemistry like this since his work with Prodigy. This was the album that I didn't even know Hip-Hop needed right now. And to keep it a buck, it's a close runner up to my favorite Armand Hammer album. When it's all said and done, where do you think you'd rank Alchemist in your list of favorite producers? I feel you on that and Hot Buttered Soul is a masterpiece that always transports me to the Rooftops of 70's New York right before the jumpoff
"younger famous rap artists"
you already putting restricting categories on this. Stop being lazy and just do the search for good music.
Okay give me some from this year
Ain't just younger famous rap artists putting out worthwhile albums though
How one determines what's worthwhile and what isn't is subjective, but to me "worthwhile" sets the bar extremely low
Once again I’m asking you to give me some examples

For me Premier, RZA and Dre are the holy trinity. Dilla was unbelievable but we lost him too early and he’d only worked with a limited amount of people but he’s still too 5. Of course Madlib and Pete Rock are up there. So I think he’ll end up somewhere between 5-10 for me personally. 9th wonder and Kanye up there too.
Havoc has lost ground for me but his early work is some of my favourite so he’s still high up on the list, Quik Is nice but I kinda feel he’s repetitive, Heatmakerz and just blaze make it into my top 20 and the neptunes and Timbo... I love some of their work but they have a lot I don’t f*** with too and like quik I felt they were a bit repetive in their prime.
Prob any more of a detailed answer than you wanted but f*** it
I’m sure there’s also an obvious one I forgot about definatly not swizz though, he’s like 80% hot garbage
Oh and yeah it’s a top 2 Armand hammer album for me too
Okay give me some from this year

Lmfao, this pic is like circa 2006.
Someone needs to do a modern one that is just as candid as this one.
