Donda is fire.
It’s all about perspective, and I feel extremely fortunate to be a fan of the “old” and “new” kanye.
What the f*** happened to him?
It’s like all his talent got absolutely drained post 2015.
He went from being a perfectionist to dropping some of the worst music ever.
Did he fire all of his ghostwriters/producers or what?
Have u ever considered that u are simply nostalgic and bitter as a result of age and you resent the way things "turned out" for u personally
It ain’t like that bro. The life of pablo is a masterpiece. Kids See Ghosts is awesome. Plenty of fantastic tracks have come since then, like a bulk of Donda, stuff like Ghost Town and Violent Crimes off ye, lots of good singles. He makes way better and more creative music than almost everyone else currently working. MBDTF will always be the best album ever but genius once in a lifetime artists don’t make mbdtf over and over again, they do other s***, even go off the deep end and have failed experiments. Look at Bowie, Dylan, Prince, list goes on.
I've never seen u once actually comment about miles davis at all much less with any substance

Okay I’m a jazz pianist of 10 years
Where’s this hostility coming from?
You know all the thousands of posts I’ve made by heart?
I have no substance even though I actually just explained my viewpoint?
This is honestly gotta be the weirdest reply I’ve ever received on KTT
Such a stupid f***ing take when donda exists. Yeah he dropped two duds in JIK and Ye but man came back swinging

Swing and a miss for me

I've been doing the jazz thing longer but that's not really a point.
There's just nothing about your points that look even remotely like a miles fan especially one that knows music. Looks like fraud s*** especially choosing in a silent way
Like how u a logic fan as a miles fan wtf. This be like anti miles music
how do hate troll threads like this stay open here man
lol
Cos it’s not a dr*ke thread lol
i dont see how thats even possible
Idk man I went to atlanta too and it just isnt that great on repeat listens for me. Its okay, but just not what I was expecting
he definitely spends less time on music and the quality decreased, but saying it's the "greatest fall from grace in music history" is either ridiculous bait or one of the most ignorant takes in music history
MBDTF was also Kanye & Friends … multiple full blown posse cuts on that album. If that’s your main takeaway from donda I’m afraid you’ll have to put MBDTF in the same lense. Donda 2 is pretty not good but still interesting …. Clearly unfinished & and feels like a response to the rabbid demo-it is the Ye community was plagued by.
If I was given a glimpse into the current era of Ye’s music I’d only be disappointed if it wasn’t glaringly obvious he wanted to move beyond music since the Yeezy 2 came out
Yeah but on MBDTF Ye had fire verses all throughout even if it was hella features…As opposed to TLOP & Donda where for the most part the features saved the song and/or Kanye usually had the weakest part.
Again the closest thing to that would be So Appalled, where Kanye verse was still pretty good but everyone else just went a lil harder. I’ll take that any day over it sounding like Ye rushed a verse at the last minute.
Has there ever been a greater run than Kanye's in music history?
