Civil war and the substance

A lot of people didn’t watch Anatomy of a fall last year and it shows.

Not even close, 2020 was so much worse. 2022 was worse as well

the last 4 years have been good. public latched onto movies like the batman and dune 2, sort of like they did with marvel movies, decent fun (kind of) movies but nothing special. the lack of love for "mainstream" movies such as furiosa, killer of the flower moon really just shows that the audience for cinema has not changed and really all the marvel lovers needed something else to latch onto, so it feels that way mainstream wise still.
