I thought sleep paralysis is when you feel awake but can’t move or speak. Cause I’ve had that multiple times when I’ve been sleep deprived

Yeah that’s what it is except people usually see weird scary s***
Yeah s***s not fun. Usually when I sleep on my back.
Only once. Heard a child laughing and saw the horrific silhouette of it crawling on my bed. Couldn’t move. Honestly I was more confused in the moment and only scared after.
Probably would have lasted a lot longer but I remembered a tip I read to wiggle your toes which will help you move your feet, legs, then the rest of your body. Try it if it happens to you again.
Yeah i had crayz hallucinations.. saw the hat man just chillin at my bedroom door like
Except his eyes were red and fingers sharp af
I remember there was a book written about the hatman and the author started getting stalked by it when they started investigating.
Never had it but I've always been curious about it, considered deliberately inducing it but I'm worried it'd scare me too much
Low key I want to experience it just once i get thrilled when ever I have nightmares like it’s a horror movie
Share ur experience
So I used to think the same thing until I actually experienced it. S*** was not fun lol
I had it a couple years ago the day after my birthday and hadn't gotten much sleep.
You feel a weight on your chest and you can't move. Essentially, you feel like you're being "visited" by someone. I had a dream where I was surrounded by talking dogs that were leading me somewhere...maybe, it's cause I had lucid dreams before but I realized I was dreaming and woke up in another dream tied to like a bed and was trying to wake myself up because I realized these t"talking dogs" were actually aliens.
There's a great doc on Netflix about sleep paralysis called The Nightmare.

this nigga saw the babadook
Lol I did today. If you sleep at varying lengths like set alarms for random increments of 2-6 hours you will get it
have it all the time and I hate it
feels like my chest is caving in or a heart attack and sometimes I hear a woman screaming
I know that sounds crazy af but it's true
I used to have it when I was younger and it was terrifying. I would hallucinate and feel some person or object sitting on my side and blocking me from leaving my bed.
And I would always be hella confused as to whether I'm awake or lucid dreaming.
I'm glad I don't deal with that anymore.
Like twice but I've never experienced hallucinations. That part sounds insane to see people and you aren't able to move. F*** THAT
back when i was a kid, ya
i would wake up and it would feel like i had boulders holding me down. couldn't move for like 10-15 minutes. happened pretty frequently tbh
i aint ever see no monsters or nothign deaux. it legit felt like i had heavy ass rocks on me
Yeah awful feeling been years since my last occurrence thankfully. Never saw anything just couldn’t move.

Hallucination part Sounds like fun tbh
Hallucination part Sounds like fun tbh
Considering the state you'll be in most likely your brain would make them negative hallucinations
I know how to induce it on my own. I have to be extremely tired and not try to fall asleep or fall asleep knowing I have to wake up very shortly...while laying on my back. Eventually I'll fall asleep, but a little while later...it's like my mind wakes up while the rest of my body is still sleep.
I haven't done it in a while though. Don't want to either, lol.
