a24 is the only company with modern 'horror' that i like. They do very well with creepy dark s***. Although Paramount did great with Mother!

exactly. i love feeling anxious watching a film like that. The soundtrack was terrifying. And that baby scene...i have to watch that movie again actually. I'm glad i started this thread im gonna have to watch a lot more stuff this week

Watched The Lighthouse. Loved it. Sound design, shots, dialogue, and that ending was something else

yeah no one knows how to make it.I'd say as far older ones go. Insidious was the last to get it right. Just one and two. Just pretend the third doesn't exist.
