As the West becomes increasingly liberal, the media and government will eventually be pushing society and culture to look down on having children for population control

Theyre actually more worried about the population sizes contracting to a debilitating degree and are gonna promote having children in alot of countries that aren't India and China

In today's developed world yeah in other parts of the world (and last century western society) the custom is to have multiple children that can bring income (working early, child labor, girls being married with dowry, they can help in the household or with the family business that sustains them)
