For example, if you’re sleepy but trying to stay awake on the night shift, you’d shake your head to stay awake right? Well my head has been doing that involuntarily during the day and at night. I could be in the store, or anywhere. I should say that, I never take naps unless it’s a depression or migraine nap. And I hardly get sleep. I often won’t go to bed until 4-6am.
What could this be? I can’t seem to find any answers. I found hypnic jerks but they say it happens before you sleep and that doesn’t really happen to me unless it does and it just doesn’t affect me. basically wtf is wrong with me?
If your head is involuntarily shaking you need to see a doctor
are u on any new medicines? adderall made me twitch alot
I don’t take any medication.

You should probably try to find out when it started. And always exaggerate bc else they'll probably just tell you to wait and see if it goes away, and if not to come back in like 2 weeks.
Ask your doctor fam
i said already i’m setting an appointment. i wanted to see if anyone else have experienced this n could tell me before i went.

Didn’t read that part but I’m thinking it’s just involuntary since you’re tired all the time to the point your body wants to just shut down on you

well i can’t sleep all of a sudden. i was tired but not anymore. my eyes kept feelin like they were moving when my eyes were closed n the shakes kept happening still. 😞
well when my body does it, id call it a jerk or twitch but my head does the shake. sometimes it’s once every several minutes or 1-3 every few minutes
i didn’t mention in the first post but earlier i mentioned my body does it sometimes. only my shoulders.
edit: well s*** you replied to me saying that already. see what no sleep does? 😅 I am a pretty anxious and stressed out guy. I’ve just been through a lot in the past 4 years nonstop n it’s drivin me crazy
been in the ER forever and they finally came and told me nothins wrong.
is it like a full on shake? or just a shaking feeling? like does your head actually physically shake when this happens

it physically does it. it was happening while the nurse was talking to me n running tests. she saw it. but the doctors was just like ‘nah you’re a healthy boi. see ya :)’
Yea this happened to me for a while
It sucks man. I almost don't want to share my experience bcus I don't wanna shake u but I had this for a few years, smoking weed at first made it way worse along with anxiety/psychotic symptoms but eventually I kept smoking and they went away.
Doing yoga/exercise is probably a better way to treat this. Actually idk if weed caused it or if it woulda happened anyway but for some people it's hard to say. It's definitely a stress response. Whatever works best for u man
