Betty is set against the backdrop of New York City. Starring Dede Lovelace, Moonbear, Nina Moran, Ajani Russell, and Rachelle Vinberg, who all starred in the original film, Betty follows a diverse group of young women navigating their lives through the predominantly male-oriented world of skateboarding.
Betty is directed and executive produced by Moselle, along with Igor Srubshchik, Jason Weinberg and Alliah Sophia Mourad and produced by Untitled Entertainment.
How long are the episodes?
Watch this be better than Euphoria
I mean skate kitchen is better than euphoria so it’s definitely possible
Anyone catch this last night? Feel like giving this an 11PM slot was sending it out to die
do these girls actually do tricks or just cruise?
They’re the real deal, have you seen the film?
Damn how come Hulu/hbo add on keeps bumping up the release date of ep 1.
Was supposed to drop at midnight earlier today but now it’s saying it’s dropping tom after 3pm
edit: nvm found it. I was under hbo2east or some and not hbo
first episode was kinda bad tbh but still in cause it’s an hbo show about skateboarders
So is this a continuation from skate kitchen?
I know they squad IRL called skate kitchen but they changed they names for the movie
Is the name “Betty” explained?

This drops June 9th in the UK and I haven't found a link to watch it so idk, far as I can tell it's more like a retelling/reboot
Crystal Moselle talks about the title here:

Wishful thinking but I'm hoping this does well so HBO thinks about bringing back How To Make It In America

wait why would they bring back how to make it if this show does well? Put me on
oh god the white chick who always wears the hat is so annoying
wait why would they bring back how to make it if this show does well? Put me on
Oh nah I just meant cuz the shows have the same setting and a similar vibe.
I imagine if more people knew about this, there’d some overlap in audience but maybe i’m wrong
