the writers of GOT are not involved with this show. The writers of HOTD care about the source material, and have a very close relationship with George RR Martin.

Same for me but I finally picked this up last week and its legit so good

That will never happen.

HBO would have to convince every single actor from GOT to return and pay them a s*** load of money.
(The main cast members were each making $250,000 per episode).
And they would probably demand even more to return.

They would also have to make sure all the actors cleared their schedules in order to film.
Then spend money to rebuild all the sets and hire new writers to rewrite the final season

It would cost far too much money and resources. Season 8 will never be remade, especially considering HOTD is a huge hit

I’m not doubting that at all. I can’t be the only one who thinks this time jump will be jarring, I loved the first 5 eps so I trust they know what they’re doing. Just seems weird but I’m sure it will wear off eventually.

Oo , yea the big time jump will definitely take a lil minute to get used to.
But just remember a time jump is the only way we'll get to the story that the first 5 episodes were building towards

Episodes 1-5 were necessary for backstory and context, but the real conflicts are about to kick off now

The story takes place over like 30 years so there's no way they could've kept Milly around without it looking ridiculous. Emma's gonna kill it.

There was already some time jumps in like the first 3 episodes s*** caught me off guard how they just casually say like 6 months have passed then 2 years have passed but I havent read the book so idk
