Idk you could tell she was visibly disgusted

Kinda wild she would subject herself to that, considering the power she wields. Especially if you consider it happened after what Rhaenys told her about always serving men.

I think she has since realized since he was willing to kill his father and brother, when she never explicitly asked for it, she believes him capable of orchestrating her death as well. But also on the other hand she could probably get Criston Cole to execute him no questions asked. He’s still more useful to her alive though.

Larys is a disgusting creep, but he is still more useful alive than dead for Alicent.
Alicent has had extreme paranoia most of her life and fears losing power, that insider info is valuable to her so she can stay ahead of the curve

I was expecting Larys to want something sexual in return for his services, but not like this

Yea it disgusts her, but that is the agreement she has made with Larys in order to receive exclusive information.

Alicent might be Queen, but she was raised in a patriarchal society where men still have all the true power. Her only true purpose has been to make babies for Viserys, thats pretty much it.
She doesn't know how to stand up for herself, because she never had any guidance as a teen on how to do that

So instead she just falls in line with the way society is

Na. Don't got nothing to do with patriachy. She's the queen. Larys just got info that she don't

loved that this last ep showed that Alicent, for as much as she wants to believe, in reality has no agency at all. And is why she clings to the little that she can do.

We've seen time and time again how Alicent has just fallen in line with what was expected of her, make babies and listen to her husband. No one has truly cared or listened to what Alicent has wanted or who she really is

I mean her council was plotting putting Aegon on the throne way before Viserys was dead and without her knowledge. Alicent may be the Queen, but even her father has more influence than her

I mean that’s how it is. The Queen doesn’t have much power. The Hand is the 2nd most powerful person after the king.

Like when Rhaenyra and Laenor were talking before they got married and she was saying “you like ham and I like goose” or whatever… it seemed pretty obvious she was saying you like guys and I like girls

But they’ve never brought it up again about Rhaenyra liking girls and she has just been banging dudes ever since
