Or just follow the book
that'd be boring asf
everyone in the book is merely an empty caricature, and the supposed events are colored by the unreliable narrators who tell them. there isn't even any cohesive narrative for the writers to follow since different sources tell different stories at every turn.
i was always a cynical book purist when it came to asoiaf/got but for this show it really doesn't matter as long as the changes they make are consistent with the characterization within the show itself and accurately relays the overarching narrative
That episode was amazing. Tf is wrong with people ???
I love the show, but the fanbase is ass
Twitter is comparing the episode to season 8 GOT
And of course most people saying that have HOTD profile pictures. Stan twitter is braindead.
Seems like this thread and the HOTD subreddit likes the episode though, so it's only twitter that is complaining

It’s literally just a bunch of book nerds upset that they’re turning Aemond into a tragic character instead of someone who is explicitly evil, & also Daemon/Rhaenyra shippers upset with Daemon’s actions in this episode as if the dude hasn’t been a selfish piece of s\*\*\* from the beginning lmfao
Motherfuckers think they’re watching twilight or some cw crap, this ain’t no f***ing romance show
These twitter book nerds need to stfu

This.
Literally if you’ve actually read the book then you’ll know why giving these characters more dimensions in the show is absolutely the right call.
The book plays out almost like a history book. There’s no reliability between who’s good & who’s evil and the characters’ motivations in the book.

Stan Twitter is cancer. This was a good episode
These twitter book nerds need to stfu
They're just complaining to complain at this point
As someone who read the book, I thought this was a really good finale and they didn't disappoint on the climax at all
Can't wait for the reaction for the S2 premiere though

did the finale leak?
Lmfao nerds on twitter really getting mad cause they’re adding nuance & complexities to these characters instead of making them outright bad or good like they were in the book
These motherfuckers need to go touch grass man
