Yeah with two episodes left the pace needs to pick up.

Have they mentioned why corlys hasn’t tried riding? (Pause) or did he try before?

yeah like leal said, plus I don’t think it’s ever interested him.

not to me. feels like tons of things are happening.

daemon is the only one who has felt a little stagnant in the last couple episodes but i actually have been enjoying the politics of him trying to rally the riverlands

people saying its going to slow.... i mean, remember at the end of GOT when we were like "well the action scenes are cool but the show has lost the character building and dialogue that made it so good"? i mean what do u people want? to me the politics and dialogue is king. battles are secondary. and this show is currently crushing the character building and dialogue and politics IMO. its just what i want. not rawr rawr dragon fights all the time

  • YA ICEMAN ACE

I wonder if he would've allowed bro to get on if he hadn't taken forever to creep over and showed all that fear in the meantime. Still funny af though

These dragons do feel like big ass dogs, or even wolves, sometimes. Really any four legged cat or dog. You come creeping around them vs showing some bravado, you get way different results

The wildest criticism I see every episode is that “nothing happened this episode”. Like bro you can’t be serious lmao

The story is absolutely progressing. I’ve never once felt that the story wasn’t moving

It's a big risk. Even full blooded Targs can get roasted trying it. Plus he's into boats and s***.

Yeah I don’t think Alyn will end up riding either. He’s also into boats n s***.

Velaryons can be dragon riders too?

I'm assuming the reason Corlys doesn't have a dragon, is just because no dragon wants him, just like with Rhaena?

Yeah I don’t think Corlys ever gave it any thought, nor his parents. He’s old fashioned and all about westeros tradition. Him and most of the other lords believe only someone with the last name Targaryen can sit on the throne and have a dragon. His children got dragon eggs because of their last names first and foremost.

How come a dragon - in one of its countless escapes from its lair - randomly, with no supposed historical precedent, grants a non-Targaryan the chance to ride it. From a writing perspective, this part seemed wayyy too convenient. Or am I missing something?

Seasmoke just roams free a lot after Laenor left I think. Or maybe they all do I dunno.

And that guy was Laenor’s half bro/Corlys’s son… so he has Valyrian blood

Right, but Laenor actually had Targaryan blood, unlike his half-brothers. Which is the supposed key to becoming a dragon-rider.

Ik that in this episode they throw around the idea that you don't need Targaryan blood to ride a dragon (clearly), but what I find strange is that in the entire history of their houses such a thing has never happened before.
