I'd say the same about Larry Bird. especially because next season they'll probably get into the rivalry more

the actor is not bad, he's just written very flatly. hope they get a more well known actor, such a shame Bo Burnham dropped out

strong first season tho. casting is great and this is a fun watch for NBA fans

I get what you’re saying, but I actually think the way they wrote Bird is a hilarious contrast to Magic, and even tho we all know he wasnt some slow hillbilly, basically all of the characters are exaggerated

I also loved that little moment when Bird went outside to practice after the Finals ended 🔥🔥🔥

I loved how we see Kareem upset he didn’t get the fmvp trophy so then I assume he probably thought about Spencer and how he missed out too so he visits him and sees how much pain he’s in and assumingely makes him grateful then we see the next scene he’s not mad at magic at all, they showed a whole mini arc in those like 3 scenes

Also loved them showing how intense magic and bird hated each other this last episode and even pat Riley hyping up magic by telling him the rookie of the year vote

i loved that direction they gave his character, i was expecting a conflict between him & magic to be a whole plotline next season but they breezed past it all instead

finally started and mid way through...

the casting is excellent, hbo really doesn't miss
