one thing that has been v apparent to me this season (prob cos im watching week to week whereas with 1 and 2 i watched them all in a few sittings last summer) is that the show really isn't about overarching stories or mad status quo changes and never really was. so in a way i almost dont expect say kendall to actually die because to do so would turn everything on its head. in the same way i almost think 'succession' as a name is a misnomer cos nobody is ever really gonna succeed logan in a meaningful sense on air at least. it might literally end with him dying or some s***.

as per usual this ep had some amazing scenes and dialogue. i do get why people might be annoyed at the lack of apparent plot development but it was still very entertaining.

i also think that people are underestimating shiv in that end scene with geri. geri is obviously smart enough to know what shiv is overtly trying to do there cos she could barely conceal her glee but i also think shiv is using it as a warning to her too. she's strongly suggesting to geri that her position is now compromised either which way, that she can't just use this whole thing as a bargaining chip later if she's been offered the chance to make a formal complaint at this juncture and didn't take it. she also knows that if she doesn't stay in line, roman would be the one to take the fall and she does care for him regardless of his behaviour.

    Great episode.

Kendall isn't literally dead, but he might as well be.

His birthday party made him reach a painful catharsis. He has no idea where to go, who to love or what to do with his life. But he's sure of one thing: he wants out of the family business.

And when exposing his intention during the dinner scene, that's when Logan smells blood.

"Maybe I want you close. You can do the mail, keep you rattling around"

Logan is never not manipulating. His son is finally at his mercy, yet he'd rather see him stuck in perpetual hell than free on his own accord. That's just what abusers do.

We've seen a lot of low Kendall moments, but that last shot is one of pure emptiness.

I have the feeling that Matsson is going to try to buy Waystar, and probably get more respect from Logan than he ever did his kids

The merger idea brings along a new person who doesn't have to be under Logan or prove himself...he'd be his equal. Interesting route that is the kinda separation the show might need from the typical sibling drama and Kendall vs Logan that is clearly coming to a bit of a transition

"One spring morning, Strong was outside the Woolworth Building, in lower Manhattan, filming a short scene between Kendall and his ex-wife, Rava, played by Natalie Gold. Kendall is picking up his two small children to take them to Italy when Rava drops some unnerving news: the kids have told her that their nanny screams at them and steals money from wallets. Like “Succession” at its best, the scene is full of passive-aggressive parries. “Great,” Kendall says, before ushering the kids into a Suburban. “You just planted fire ants in my brain.”

Damn I'm mad they removed this scene.

Can't remember who said Rava is Indian or South Asian. Shawty playing her is white lol. So still leaves the question on if their kids are biological or adopted

Bro Logan deadass called over his grandson to taste test the food just to make sure it wasn’t poisoned

Lmao that scene was so great and shows how ruthless Logan is.

Woulda loved to see Ken jump up and toss the food out his son's hands

    minor spoilers

    I have a new theory

So like... His kids tell him to his face that he is a monster and a bad father but Longan actually shows a lot of love outside of his business

When Kendall killed that boy Logan was there to help him
He always cares about Shiv and he is actually pretty good towards Tom
When Rom sent the d*** pick to him by mistake, Logan instead of worrying about how this looks or sexual harassment allegations was more focused on Roman's mental health by asking him if everything is alright and trying to understand why he does things like this

I mean... this might be a big stretch but I always felt a lot of genuine love from Logan and he gets crazy tough only when it comes to his business

And what if all he wants from his kids is to actually stop carrying so frkn much about money and this company?
Shiv is a d*** to her loving husband because she can't stand the thought of Kendall or Roman taking over. FFS she was okay with Tom going to jail because it strengthened her position.
Roman is constantly being a TOTAL d*** towards his siblings because of the same thing
Kendal was the most detached actually despite being the best candidate

And when Kendall actually took Logan out and straight up told him he wants out he showed Logan that he knows life is more than just a constant fight for power and money (which is something Logan wanted for them) and maybe he actually considers Kendall as a candidate even more now (considering he didn't let him just walk away)

Maybe this will lead to something unexpecting idk

edit: this or he might actually be power hungry and his business means more to him than his kids lol maybe I tried to hard haha

Logan helped Ken out really becuase he could control Ken and try to stop sandy and stewie from buying the company

But I do think Old man Logan love's his kids he just doesn't show it like most parent do. He did say that all he does and has done is for his kids

The alcohol being there is the only thing thats really disturbing me. People who pass out drunk in a pool are very likely to die. Alcohol takes up a high percentage of adult drownings in general

I hope i'm wrong but gonna prob stay on the negative side cus i got hurt in a very similar scenario with an Apple TV show just a month ago. IYKYK

lol hell no. their market cap is just about to reach waystars. He don't got the liquidity talk less the passion. A 5050 merger would make more sense
