Instead, he suggests that such a comparison might be the result of there being a relative lack of high-profile media barons in the UK. “It could be a parochial view – that because it’s a media family, it must be the Murdochs.”

My take on this is it's definitely influenced by the Murdochs but Armstrong takes from a variety of rich families so he doesn't want people to think he copy and pasted his characters. On another note, I think a lot of people comparing the Roys to Trumps forget that Logan is self made and that drives so much of his decision making.

lowkey this show took some time for me to get into but when it hits it hits.
