Show will end up being a cult classic, btw noticed something when rewatching Angela is blue in the poster :word:
I loved Dr Manhattan but I agree that the show went downhill once he came in. I’ve said it before ITT, but I thought the plot just went way too far off the rails towards the end. Like, the group that was basically the KKK had a motive that was way too advanced for me to believe a KKK kind of group could pull off. I know it was actually the organization behind it but still. I was enjoying it more when it was basically a political thriller. The sci-fi elements could’ve still been there just handled differently.

I’m using a SPOILER tag here but I guess KTT2 is different
So if you haven’t watched yet STOP READING
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
Like, the KKK/cyclops wants to remove Redford from the presidency. Their plan is to find Dr Manhattan, build an advanced machine to absorb his powers, and then use those powers to take over the government.
At the point that you’re creating a machine to steal his powers why not just replicate what give him his powers to begin with?
Or, idk, use the video of Ozy admitting everything (that you have in your possession and use to recruit people), to uncover to the public that Redford was involved in a massive cover up and turn the public against him? Especially since the group is clearly so inspired by Rorschach. Like exposing what Ozy was doing was Rorschach’s whole thing, he died for it, he spread the word with his journal, so it would make thematic sense for a group inspired by him to follow through and bring the truth out
Bruh spoiler that s*** smh

This post alone makes me wanna rewatch it, my FIRST rewatch....
I’m gonna watch this so many times, especially if this is the only season.
With what’s happening in the world, for some reason I think of this show a lot.

It's extremely relevant rn Didnt think i'd rewatch so soon but sometimes I like to rewatch things that seem to reflect my current situation or what's going on currently in the world.
This was rly ambitious and fun, not a masterpiece but good s***. The hooded justice backstory was a legit stroke of genius
Damn y'all really rec'ing the movie itt tho? Comic >>>>>>>
Of course the comic >>>>>>> everything else Watchmen related (including the new Watchmen comics recently which were great tbh) but the movie gets s***ted on WAY more than it should. Snyder created a great movie that ALOT of people thought would be impossible to make & even made the ending better than the original comic book ending IMO.
Just copped the steelbook from Best Buy didn’t know it came with free hbo Max subscription for a month
I’m surprised there’s so little discussion of Lady Tru or whatever. Her story was absolutely terrible, almost derailed the show for me.
Agreed, she def had the weakest backstory by far. Felt like it was just thrown together.
All the other new character backstories were amazing tho, so it's all good.

Whats it look like?
when shawty pulled out the Manhattan d****. For some reason that turned me on
Hooded Justice’s origin story is probably the best I’ve ever seen on screen.
Seriously, we need More inventive stories such as that regarding the black experience on the big and small screen. They honestly could’ve made a whole series on that alone

I one hundred percent agree my dude.

Cacs are still mad at the racial topics like they're not relevant rn
