Someone was saying it a few weeks ago I can’t remember who but talking about how short rollouts are beneficial in this day is the way to go and they’re proving to be more and more correct. Long winded rollouts don’t seem to be beneficial anymore or at least not much of a difference maker if anything
Ye would’ve done more if he dropped Donda after the first Atlanta show
There is some truth to this
W for both Kanye and Drake. Their fake beef worked. Congrats, gentlemen
Fake

I don't think it matters with Drake. He could've did a suprise drop and still dominate.

case in point billie album
Nas X…
Obama tweeted him today with baby gifts for his upcoming Montero release
An openly gay flamboyant MC with heterosexual swag is unprecedented and an entirely new wave the culture has yet to see
you might be right but then the culture needs to make a huge shift
According yo him every single artist is washed cause no one selling this much.
Congrats on the first day numbers but I didn't even mention Kdot. People see my username expecting a reaction but I dont really need one because Kendrick unquestionably comes through with the quality.
I predicted 500-600K. Him vs Kanye head to head, both dropping on a set release date would’ve been very interesting.

And Lorde. They released single after single and people just lost interest. It’s actually kind of crazy to see how counterintuitive they were in retrospect

Duke is the shift
He’s also still polarizing for the homophobic crowd…
He’s leading the charge for something hip hop has never seen.. whoever/whomever comes after him is going to be God Level
Nas X is N.W.A

Ye would’ve gave him a run for his money
Imagine being this dense.
You realize he only did 330k on the last project right? And that was pre-covid. Drake doubled that the following year. I know you think everyone’s waiting on Kendrick, but he’ll be lucky to even top Donda numbers
People Don’t want to see me succeed this s*** come with that
Dislocated shoulder it’s hard to always be reaching back
Ye would’ve gave him a run for his money
donda dog s*** numbers clb breaking records
And Lorde. They released single after single and people just lost interest. It’s actually kind of crazy to see how counterintuitive they were in retrospect
With Billies album, she released like half of it before it even dropped and she dropped her whole aesthetic that made teen girls gravitate towards her. Not to mention the person she f***ing is an alleged racist and homophobe.
There has to be a decline at some point
The difference in this situation though is that hes outstreaming scorpion. Obv pure sales being down is the main factor though but thats industrywide
He is not outstreaming scorpion mehn yall be saying anything.
Ye would’ve gave him a run for his money
If Ye didn’t do dumb s*** for LP3 and release physical copies of the album it would’ve been interesting. Ye probably could’ve done 450-500K.

Drizzy replaced by Nas X
sounds funny idk

I think Drake isn’t a good benchmark as he’s clearly an anomaly when it comes to moving units. I think a lot of the normal group of artists have done themselves a disservice by dragging their rollouts out. I think we’ll see here later this month how Keem does because I think he’s another example of not striking when the iron was hot

Yup! Haha
