The Age of Adz by Sufjan birthed the sound of Yeezus but go on
Your description makes no sense, following NS & BSK people knew that he was heading towards an experimental sound. Again, you can’t claim to be mysterious following live TV performances and heavy marketing.
Try again.
of all albums, the age of adz?

Yeah this is entirely cap lmao
Age of Adz got absolutely nothing in common with Yeezus. What a pleb tier opinion that ignores how established noise/glitch has been in electronic music. You try again. Yeezus is inspired more by Chicago drill than anything from that album.
And announcing two songs that never formally dropped but played in random streets and then got played on SNL is still mysterious af and nobody had any idea what the direction of Yeezus would be considering we had no snippets, no album cover, no track list and no idea about the features
Yall really let a noncoherent DJ Khaled rant dictate your scope of 2010s music
I'm fline

Age of Adz was toying with glitch noise and electronic experimentation far before Yeezus ever came out. Ye is a confirmed fan and putting raw labels and genres to an album cheapens the artistic vision behind it. It can very well be inspired by Chicago drill just as much as the loud brash sonics of Adz.
If anything, Jai Paul unintentionally invented mysterious music so Yeezus shouldn’t even be in this conversation.

I’m saying that age of adz didn’t invent noise and glitch lmao. Yeezus and age of adz got nothing in common. They are completely different albums musically
Yeezus was the first mysterious album. Jai Paul pushed more towards it but Yeezus the prototype

Jai Paul’s album leaked in April, Yeezus came out in June?
Jai was and is the epitome of mysterious so how does Kanye suddenly become the prototype?
We’ve seen countless Jai Paul clones and wannabes who have used his lane and sound to be an enigma.

Cuz jai Paul ain’t do it on purpose
Leaks don’t count

So what? Reason why I said unintentional. Even prior to the leak, Jai was moving mysterious. No one knew what happened, Jai made a vague statement then vanished & people thought it was released on purpose to avoid samples. The effects of that are felt far more apparent than Yeezus. In fact, Jai Paul makes the Yeezus drop look like a pop record.
I know Ye fans wanna believe he invented oxygen too but fact is Bait Ones unintentionally kicked off and is the definition of mysterious music.
Tyler ended her
Mysterious Music winning when YB better is the feature
Can't believe Youngboy carried Tyler to a #1 wow
no hate but i think that doja album is gunna be on the charts much longer
well yeah pre streaming era this is how pop music vs hip hop worked lmao
