one of the best villains I've ever read. his casting in the upcoming movie is gonna be super important
Heat 2 was probably my favorite read last year. definitely worth checking out for anybody looking for a page turning crime thriller
of course I'm excited for the movie but hope Mann and Gardiner work on a Heat 3 book soon

dude i just hope Mann keeps writing, whatever the f*** it is he wants to write. i had no idea he had the chops to put together a novel this well-written.
i’m very curious about Hanna’s casting too… you seen the latest quote on Heat 2 tho?
Hanna in Chicago was a crazy dude
bruh lmao when he pulls up to the bartender. it’s all the degenerate s*** that happened off-screen on Heat we assumed Hanna was doing. such a good complimentary text to the movie

Yeah I feel like heat 2 for the most of it shows what makes each character the reasons why who they are in the movie. Like Neil heart was also broken that’s why he’s so distant and cold. I don’t really care for Chris story specially if they would make a movie they can’t recast Val Kilmer.

100%. when that moment happens for Neil, everything afterwards just clicks into place. i love how much it feeds into the "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

yea I saw that quote lol
reporters keep bugging him with questions like "bro don't you know you're supposed to die soon"
hopefully his response was just a thoughtful answer, cause Heat 2 seems greenlit enough for contract negotiations n s***, tho I guess it depends on the strike
I really liked it. Not on the same level of literature as QTs OUATIH, but it’s not really trying to do the same thing. It reads as a really compelling crime novel and it would make an incredible movie.

was Quentin's book really that good? Hollywood is one of my top favorite movies of all time so i've been curious about this
barely started the audiobook but the narrator is so gruffy and over the top i love it
you gotta play it at 1.5 speed for the full effect

Not really. Lots of extra characterization on Sharon Tate. Some weirder passages that stuck out. The most interesting thing was him writing the western film they shoot as a self contained western story scattered throughout the book.
Was a very brisk read if you're interested.
Just finished this one and wow That freeway chase had me racing. Wardell
rest in piss

amazing book. i really wanna see chris and ana’s business develop if they ever decide to make a third entry. i love that story so much
gotta know who’s gonna play wardell in the movie adaptation. really cool they went for a darker, more psychopathic nut job this time around
