DEBATE ME BRO types like you are the worst
If the USA truly cared for freedom and human rights in Cuba, they would remove the sanctions that went on for 7 decades and they wouldn't have an illegal occupation of Guantanamo Bay to run a torture camp there
I dont respect you because you argue in bad faith and are an imperialist stooge who defends the US at all costs
So because I want to keep things civil I am a "Debate me bro" and "the worst"? Then you proceed to name call me every chance you get, like we're in pre-school or something. I saw you post around and I honestly thought you were better than that. I'll keep it in mind.

You think Fidel was USA enemy, Nah, USA props up its enemies, the shot callers in those countries are in reality USAs behind the scene allies
Cuba isnt that important to the US other than for Cuban votes in Miami
Other than that it doesnt have much in the way of resources or strategic advantage

The phrasing of this thread alone shows you are disingenious. These are neither heavy protests (so far), nor is it against communism per se. If your framing is already this way, why should I debate you? You and I both know neither of us will concede on this matter.
How do a lot of yall feel about the people posting horro images of what their family members escaped from? It's hard to not feel for them when Castro has done f***ed up s*** before.

The protesters literally scream things like "Down with Communism!" and the government felt the need to share a counter protest glorifying Fidel Castro. For what other purpose than to protect the regime? Not only that, these are the biggest protests in Cuba since 1994. For Cuba, these are heavy protests, I will agree that in a more liberal place, where the government doesn't censor the internet, this wouldn't be seen as "heavy", but I do find the phrasing fitting. The current dictator sure seems to think so, since he resorted to advocating for violence in order to clamp them down. However, I will change it to a more detailed description.
"The order to fight has been given - into the street, revolutionaries!"
Is, even if it were just a "figure of speech", in the same category as for example Trump saying "We will march to the Capitol." Which you will undoubtedly also condemn, right? Mind you, the Capitol storming was in my opinion the most disgraceful moment in American politics from the last decades.
Another thing I also want to quickly refute, when talking about being disingenuous, is how you said there were just 10 arrests on sunday. The actual number is in the hunderds.

And another thing, when speaking about framing, I do not appreciate that you frame me as some kind of USA loving imperialist. If you've seen my posts you would notice that I am the biggest advocate for decreasing the military spending and pulling back from all regions. You would notice that I think the USA is a deeply flawed country, that could use a complete reset to a more social democratic system. Just look at my threads, I'm pretty sure I was complaining about the supreme court like just last month or so.
Of course, maybe I came off wrong somewhere along the line and gave you the wrong impression by accident. My apologies if so.

A lot of the first wave of cuban refugees were slave owners and landlords
The next few waves were mostly ordinary people
It's fine to acknowledge that not every cuban refugee is a slaver in exile, and that that they're not all repressed proletariat either

yeah s*** like this makes me question a lot of this hashtag lol
This will end up like the Hong Kong protests: CIA s*** going absolutely nowhere
Quote me in 1 year
You are so f***ing stupid lol
what am I supposed to believe
Cubans are mad
If the US releases sanctions first then I would be 100% support the rights of the people protesting, but this s*** just the standard playbook with US meddling.

Lmao someone's drinking a little too much Kool-Aid!
(it ain't them two!)

The sanctions are literally why these people are protesting to begin with. Theyre placed to incite uprisings so the Us can swoop in and act like the good guy
Why would Cubans wanna be allies with the US? (They dont)
Look at how the US did little to help Puerto Rico after the hurricane, or Haiti after their Earthquake
What are the specific demands? BLM had demands. Here?
First it was over COVID and vaccines (despite having low case numbers). Now it's about food. What is it about tomorrow?
Why are protestors holding up signs in perfect English in a Spanish speaking country? Why are they carrying US flags to a protest over vaccines/food/whatever?
Why are the demands so vague and always changing? Why don't we hear what the alternative should be beyond vague insinuations of "democracy" and "freedom"? What specifically do they want changed? So much media coverage yet no peep of this?
Why is media using pictures from US protests and passing them off as Cuba protests?
Why did several Latin American politicians post videos from Colombia, Egypt, Argentina and Chile and try to pass them off as Cuba?
Why are the far bigger number of counter-protestors not shown? Why are these images not shown? Why are they never even mentioned?
Why does this happen right after the assassination in Haiti and the withdrawal from Afghanistan?
Why do COVID protests break out only towards the tailend of the pandemic, especially seeing that Cuba even invented their new vaccine and used it this month and had low numbers to begin with?
Why did random celebrities and blue check accounts all start pushing the same hashtag days before the protests even broke out? Why did they suddenly care about Cuba after years of silence?

Anyone who says the entire media is lying to make Cuba look bad is just as bad as MAGA re tards who whine about "fake news"

Would be delusional to think the media doesnt simply peddle the ideology of the dominant class
