I think I like HNVM in theory better but Drake's vocals just sound so boring to me and don't do those beats justice.
Her Loss is more derivative but he sounded hungrier and has more memorable songs on there.

Not really.
HNVM had better production and was more unique but the vocals were much worse.
Hell, I think Drake had better melodies on Her Loss, never mind rap verses. And the songs are more memorable and have more staying power imho.
The fact that Jimmy Cooks which is basically a pre-cursor Her Loss song is the biggest and most memorable track from HNVM speaks volumes.

Travis, Uzi, Thug (before jail) are all pretty popular and their albums did not get s*** on because of their length lol. The idea that being the most popular one therefore you get different scrutiny makes no sense.

Uzi was absolutely s*** on for Pink tape length, Thug last 2 albums got s*** on but not for being long. Travis the only one that wasn't s*** on for his (kinda) long album.
Plus Drake being the most popular rapper on the planet absolutely means you get different scutiny, he literally got the most eyes on him.
