For reference: Drake, Pac, Wayne, Hov (even if he wasn’t technically the top guy commercially), Em, 50 and arguably Snoop and Biggie are examples of rappers that checked all these off at one point

• Represents an ideal and lifestyle that a certain huge group identifies with, both accurately and accessibly through their image, voice and subject matter
• Has a notable personality
• Has a striking and impressive voice and flow that compliments any style (especially the biggest current sounds of their era)
• Is known for hard hitting and memorable/quotable lyrics
• Makes great hooks
• Excels at crossover hits, hard anthemic bangers and introspective songs
• Is known for a specific sound that is mainly associated with their brand
• Proven ability to make an iconic project with at least a handful of songs that captures the heart of the culture
• Propped up by a territory as a hometown hero
