watched this randomly yesterday and today. it was cool for that 'early 2000s physical music aesthetic' feel it gave me, though Im not a fan of the original. guess you really had to be there/be younger to appreciate it for what it is. the show kinda feels the same in a way that its all style over substance; I didn't care for the plot, and the whole romance aspect of it felt really juvenile and one-dimensional

nevertheless it was a delight to look at and I liked characters/episodes fine. I dont really see what they'd do with the second season but too bad it got canceled so quickly

it was super worth it for all the props and albums that they'd display, songs too. picking out random stuff that you recognize was so fun, had to pause for every scene at the store
